Football Development Manager


  • Oversee the various programs relating to Northbridge FC Academy and Talented Player Pathways
  • Oversee the various programs relating to Coach Education and Development Programs
  • Provide leadership and support for the implementation of the Boys and Girls Football Technical Development Plans at Northbridge Football Club (NBFC)
  • Develop the Boys and Girls Football operating plans aligned with NBFC Strategic Plan
  • Prepare reports as required by FFA, FNSW, NSFA and the NBFC committee
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, prepare draft budgets and deliver Boys and Girls Academy programs in line with the approved budget
  • Provide leadership and direction to all involved in Boys and Girls Football across the NBFC Academy
  • Identify key stakeholders involved in Boys and Girls football, establish links with each Stakeholder, and liaise with them to build awareness, share knowledge and encourage ongoing involvement
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all stakeholders in the game
  • Establish a communications strategy with NSM and local clubs, developing pathways and performance measures in conjunction with these bodies and provide advice and support on coaching matters
  • Attend FFA, NSFA workshops and courses as required and directed by the General Manager
  • Manage, schedule and attend meetings of the NBFC Coaches
  • Where required, attend and provide regular reports to meetings of the NBFC Committee
  • Promote the principles of the NBFC Strategic Plan
  • Together with the General Manager and NSM Technical Director, build on established communication strategies to facilitate the promotion of coaching and education
  • Ensure all projects are completed and highlight any areas of concern to the General Manager
  • Keep abreast of current sport development and high-performance trends across all sports


Northbridge FC Academy

  • Oversee the management of Boys Academy (U8-U16), Girls Academy (U10-U16) teams
  • Liaise with NSM, Associations and other agencies to ensure the programs continue to excel and develop
  • Assist NBFC Academy Coaches to implement and improve youth development programs
  • Incentivise, assist and oversee the Talent Identification process for NBFC Academy
  • Provide development opportunities in programs for all potential talented players
  • Explores opportunities in school environments to establish and/or support football
  • Programs aligned to NSM and NBFC principles
  • Appoint and manage all coaching staff across all NBFC Academy teams


Coach Education - NBFC

  • Establish a coach development plan within NBFC Academy and Community Teams
  • Develop and deliver coaching workshops and mentoring programs for All NBFC coaches
  • Oversee the selection and ongoing development of All NBFC coaches



  • Oversee the management of programs year-round
    • Including before-school, during school, after-school, Bilbies and School holiday programs
  • Oversee the appointment and ongoing development of program coaches
  • Explore and deliver new opportunities to introduce new programs to increase club income streams
  • Assist in the management of the Mariners Cup


Club Coach Coordinator

  • Attend CCC Workshops organised by NSFA
  • Liaise with NSFA Community Football Manager to improve community club coaching at NBFC
  • Provide support, resources and guidance to coaches within the community teams at NBFC
  • Develop and deliver coaching workshops and mentoring programs for NBFC community coaches
  • Oversee the selection and ongoing development of NBFC community coaches

  • 2-3 years similar work experience
  • Understanding of the NSFA, Football NSW and Australian Football landscape
  • Minimum FFA B Licence or equivalent


Salary - $55k-$65k p.a

Hours – Full-Time, 38 Hours Per Week. Expected to work nights and weekends

Reports to: NSM Technical Director, General Manager, Club President, NSM Committee
