Hyundai Goals 4 Grassroots

Since the initiation of Hyundai’s ‘Goals for Grassroots’ program back in 2007, Hyundai has donated almost $400,000 to more than 154 junior football clubs across Australia. (Figures as at the end of the 2012/2013 Hyundai A-League season). Hyundai’s grassroots support program is designed to help promote the game of football within local communities by offering financial assistance to junior clubs throughout the Hyundai A-League season.

During each round, a grassroots club will be selected for the pre-determined ‘Goals for Grassroots’ game of the week. On top of an array of match day benefits that include match tickets and an on field presentation, the lucky junior club is guaranteed a grant of $1,000. However, it is during the match that the excitement levels raise another notch as an additional $1,000 is added to the tally for every goal that the home team scores - up to a maximum of $10,000 per game. Plus all clubs that register for Goals for Grassroots will go into the draw to win a Hyundai i30 for their club to use for fundraising.

In order to be eligible to enter, grassroots clubs need to complete an application form at and submit why they believe the club should be selected. Junior clubs can even support their application with photos or short videos.

(Note: To be eligible to enter, grassroots clubs must belong to an association affiliated to Football Federation Australia.)
