FFA Company Secretary to Depart in April

Football Federation Australia (FFA) confirms that Company Secretary Jo Setright gave notice that she will depart FFA at the end of April 2019.

Jo has been with FFA for 12 years, serving as Head of Legal, Business Affairs and Integrity and then as Company Secretary and Special Counsel.

The decision follows shortly after taking up the role of Executive Director, Policy and Public Officer of the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports (COMPPS), the industry body of which FFA is a member along with the AFL, NRL, Rugby Australia, Cricket Australia, Netball and Tennis Australia. In light of this, both from the perspective of time commitments and the importance of being an advocate for all of the COMPPS sports, Jo has decided the time is right to leave her role at FFA.

FFA CEO David Gallop praised Jo for her service to football over many years.

"Jo has demonstrated passion, courage, support for her peers, dedication to detail, patience and, above all else, a relentless drive to contribute to the game’s journey with fairness and integrity. Like the best in-house lawyers she has excellent technical legal skills but applies them in a smart, pragmatic and creative way”.

“I personally wish to thank Jo for her support and wise counsel. I trust you will join me in wishing her every success as the new Executive Director of COMPPS and other future endeavours,"  said Gallop.
