Volunteers from, and people working in, Australia’s grassroots football community are invited to attend a Football Federation Australia (FFA) Webinar on Thursday evening.
From 7:30pm AEST on Thursday night, FFA’s General Manager of Member Federation Relations, Robbie Middleby, will host the webinar with the Chief Executive Officer of Manly Warringah Football Association, David Mason.
The focus of the webinar will be ‘Keeping Australia’s Football Family Connected, Engaged, & Ready for Relaunch’.

With grassroots football activity across Australia having resumed in some capacity in some states and territories, and more activity due to come back online over the coming weeks, Middleby and Mason will discuss ways to connect with and engage with volunteers, coaches, and players during this unprecedented period.
There will be the opportunity for participants to ask questions of Middleby and Mason throughout the webinar.
Middleby recently joined FFA after time working with FIFA and in the Hyundai A-League. He is a former Socceroo who also played in the Hyundai A-League and National Soccer League.
Mason has enjoyed an extensive career in sports administration, including in the National Soccer League and Hyundai A-League. He has worked across a wide section of the game, including media and communication, events, and football operations.
Mason was the Media Manager of the Socceroos at the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 and has attended numerous Olympic Games as a MLO (Media Liaison Officer). In 2017, Mason returned to lead his childhood football association and club (Manly United) on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and his communications background has been crucial to leading his association throughout the COVID-19 disruption.
