FFA welcomes Western United FC to the Hyundai A-League

Football Federation Australia (FFA) welcomed the news that Western United FC will be the name of the new expansion club that will compete in the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.

FFA Head of Leagues, Greg O’Rourke, congratulated Western United FC on achieving this historic milestone in the development of the club.

“Since announcing the expansion clubs last December, CEO Maurice Bisetto the board and management team at Western United FC have been working hard to set-up this club from scratch,” said O’Rourke

“Apart from the major public facing announcements of the Club Name, Club Colours, coaching staff and player signings, there has been plenty of other work happening behind the scenes to form the foundations of this new entity.

“The club continues to settle its licence fee commitments through regular instalments and importantly is close to finalising its venue deals for home games and a new training facility.

“We continue to look forward to working with Western United FC as they prepare to embark on their inaugural Hyundai A-League campaign,” concluded O’Rourke.
