FFA sanctions a registered player over betting

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has sanctioned a registered player for betting on football matches in breach of the FFA National Code of Conduct.

The player was registered in Western Australia when the breaches occurred and the breaches involved betting on various football matches in Australia, including Hyundai A-League and PS4 National Premier Leagues matches.

FFA has determined to impose a sanction of a $1,000 suspended fine, which will be triggered immediately in the event of another breach of the Code of Conduct.

The participant has a right of appeal under the Code of Conduct to FFA’s independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee.
